Hear from our valued guests
We were visiting from out of town and Rhonda completely made our experience at Metro Diner. She was friendly, funny, attentive, and just an absolute joy to have as our waitress. Everything felt easy and welcoming because of her, and she really went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. The food was great, but honestly, Rhonda is what we’ll remember most from our visit. We’ll miss her the most and hope we get to see her again next time we’re in town. When you stop in, ask for Rhonda!
Stopped in for breakfast this morning. Hostess and my server were friendly. Had the two egg breakfast and coffee. Food arrived quickly. Food was cooked to order and the coffee and food were hot. Everything was delicious. Their bacon is high quality and is exceptionally good…best that you will find in the area. Very pleased.
This was our first time here, and it won’t be our last! The breakfast was delicious—specifically the grits. The grits were perfect!! The bacon was good too. The toast wasn’t buttered, so it was very crusty, but I still ate it with the grits! Cathy done a great shop as our waitress. Was recommended by my dentist to come here. Got the special apple cinnamon pancakes with the Bissle Breakfast as recommended by my Waitress Rhonda. Food was amazing will be coming back!
Great atmosphere. Awesome food. Very affordable. The place was off the chain busy at 10:30 am yet was comfortable and quiet overall. I thought my meal would take forever but was pleasantly surprised how fast it arrived. The kitchen ran like a well oiled machine. Although I was quite happy with my biscuit and gravy meal(two biscuits w/sausage gravy, two eggs, and potato side) I found myself wishing I didn't have my heart set on biscuits and gravy once I saw a fellow diner who received their chicken and waffles(half chicken and 2 waffles with strawberry butter). The food is just like the pictures on the website. The staff were very friendly and seemed to have great rapport with frequent customers and newcomers alike. My waitress was so in tune and attentive I had to ask for nothing during the entirety of my visit. I believe that if there was one of these restaurants in Lexington Ky it would be packed from open to close and put other places to shame until they were out of business. Ultimately. I wish I currently lived near this or any other Metro Diner.
This place is amazing. Our server named Reese gave us excellent service as she memorized our whole order and she was very nice and polite. The atmosphere is chilled and food is tremendously delicious. My cinnamon roll pancakes were a 10/10. The chicken & waffles was also delicious. We'll definitely be back soon. Thank you Metro Diner👌
Best service we’ve had in a long time! We are visiting from Virginia and had the absolute pleasure of being served by Rhonda. She is incredible! She was extremely kind, very attentive, and had our drinks refilled before we even had to ask. We ordered the poutine, chicken tender plate, and Iron City Meatloaf, which were all ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️! Our food order was spot on, arrived quickly, and was piping hot and delicious. Honestly, we need 100 Rhondas in this world! I wish she worked at every restaurant we visited! If you’re at Metro Diner, ask for her because she’ll make sure you’re well taken care of!
We stopped here on our travels. Rhonda was our server. She made great recommendations, was friendly, and never let or coffee cups get empty. We had a mimosa flight, 2 meat lovers omelets, fruity waffle, and steak and egg bowl. Everything was absolutely delicious. Easy parking and plenty of seating. Everyone left full and happy.
Super busy when we went. I missed the text but still got seated relatively fast. Enjoyed my meal and highly recommend trying their mild salsa! All of the flavor none of the spice. Excellent service during our meal as well.
This place was five stars! No doubt about it. Our server, Jolene, was phenomenal! She helped us find a new seat so our baby would be comfortable. She helped me save a few dollars when I wanted two of those gigantic pancakes! It was a cinnamon roll pancake and it was probably the best breakfast item I’ve ever had. The egg was solid. My girlfriend loved her chicken and waffles as well. 11/10 would recommend.
